Michael Dee Isom, 55 years old of Rockwood, Tx and formerly of Ennis , Tx packed his duffle bag for his final game on November 1, 2012.
He is now playing Middle Line backer with His Lord as coach. Once again, he is on a winning team with the angels and saints.
He was greeted by his father, GW (Buck) Isom, who cheered him on from the sidelines, along with his grandparents, Mr & Mrs Tom Snell and Mr and Mrs MD Isom.
He was born October 28, 1957 in Ennis, Tx. He graduated from Ennis High School in 1975 and proudly played for the Ennis Lions as Middle Linebacker. He will be missed by all those of us who loved him. Remaining to join his winning heavenly team, are his sons, Andrew Isom of San Angelo, Texas and Hunter Isom of Ennis, Texas.
His mother Laura Jean Isom, of San Angelo Tx, formerly of Ennis , Tx and his two brothers, Larry and wife, Donna of Big Lake , Tx and Garry and his wife, Melissa of Ingram, Tx.
Also missing his earthly presence will be his nephews and their families Gerald Isom , Matthew Isom, Zakary Isom and one neice, Katy Curry and family. He will be fondly remembered and missed by Renee Isom and Brad Newberry. Uncle Tommy Snell and his wife Peggy.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Coleman County Hospital for the excellent care given to Mike during his illness.
Graveside services will be Monday, November 5 , 2012 at Myrtle
Cemetry at 2 pm. With Rev. Patrick Bennett officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.

I am extremely sad to hear about Mike.
We were very close growing up. I know Mike got the most out of life and was a great leader.
When I think of Mike I think of him always smiling, always laughing. I am fortunate and proud to say he was my friend.
Peace be with the family. I will never forget Mike Isom.

I knew Mike & played ball with Mike starting in 1st grade
Mike , Brick, & I had a magic on that 75 team that no one can know
We lead that defense, we're to stupid to be scared, it's like we lost our middle.
Some might say we were not the best, I suggests they ck the stats.
#34 we will miss you

Michael Dee,
We had a lot of fun and laughs growing up and we were always usually doing something we weren't suppose too and knew if Grandmother found out she would skin us alive or we would blame you. I remember that day we were all out at Granny Isom's and that chicken flew up, scared Melodye and she dropped you and you cut the back of your head and left that scar.
You will surely be miss Cuz....Rest in Peace brother.
